Big news for R.D. Allen...

R.D. Allen Freeport Jewelers is moving. They will be at their new location at 13 Middle Street by April 1. Mark and Annette Evans recently purchased the apartment building which many Freeport residents remember as Prindle Insurance Agency. They have enlisted the help of Randall Wade Thomas of the Freeport Historical Society, to contribute in the design of the remodel and addition to the building.

Here's a good deal, too... "We don't want to move our inventory across town,' says Annette, "so we are having a huge moving sale starting Feb. 1st. Everything will be 35-70% off (with the exception of Maine watermelon which will be 25% off). All silver and gold inventory needs to move before we do!! These are extraordinary savings considering that gold has hit historic highs of over $900 an ounce. Even silver has quadrupled in price! Hurry for best selection! ! This event begins on Feb 1! Our doors will open at 10AM!"

Move it or lose it...

Cash out of your wallet that is. Here is a reminder from the Freeport Police Department that THEY WILL TICKET vehicles illegally parked overtime in on side streets in town.

OK, quit grumbling. All they're asking you to do is be law abiding citizens and be fair to your fellow merchants by not parking in front of them all day. Besides - you could use 3 more minutes of cardio a day - so just park a little bit more away and walk a few extra steps - it's good for you.
